Below are some articles I wrote for Catalogue & Index, the periodical of the CILIP Cataloguing and Indexing Group (CIG). They are all now freely available as PDFs in UCL’s repository. The first three were written following CIG”s Linked Data: What Cataloguers Needs to Know event in 2013, and appeared in issue 174 (2014). I have also included links to the Slideshare versions of presentations on which they were based:
Introduction to Linked Data: article | presentation
What’s Wrong With MARC: article | presentation
BIBFRAME: article | presentation
The fourth is from issue 172 (2013):
Outsourcing Authority Control at UCL: article
Erratum: it has been pointed out to me on Slideshare that the example on slide 23 of the Introduction to Linked Data is in fact RDF/JSON rather than JSON-LD. This was corrected in the article.
